DSB Employees Participate in CPR Training Lead by BCFMT

Instructors from the Baltimore County Fire and Medical Training Inc. stopped by The Residences of Brookside Commons last week to lead a Heartsaver CPR Training course for David S. Brown Employees. Heartsaver CPR AED is a video-based, instructor-led course that teaches adult and child CPR and AED use, infant CPR, and how to relieve choking in adults, children, and infants. This course teaches skills with the AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback, and guide the students’ learning of skills. This course is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements.

Thank you to BCFMT for providing this opportunity and a congrats to all of our employees who completed the course! For more information on upcoming courses and DSB events be sure to check our Electronic Bulletin Board.

OCTOBER 22-NOVEMBER 5

David S. Brown Enterprises will be teaming up with Samaritan’s Purse this year during the Holiday Season. We will be participating in their Annual Operation Christmas Child, which allows participants to fill a shoe box with a toy, hygiene items, school/art supplies, etc. These are then sent all over the world to children in need. Tracking numbers are provided which allow you to see exactly where your gift is going! Samaritan’s Purse does ask for a $9 donation, which goes directly to shipping your box to it’s destination.

** If you want to participate, the HR department has the shoe boxes available and we can send them to your department when we know how many you need.  You can also pick them up at corporate in the HR Department.  Deadline to return filled boxes is November 5, 2018.**
